Wake-up service, available in my a double room, was a nice bonus. An electric kettle, a fridge, and glassware were a big plus. The hotel was in a remote setting to Standun's wonderful shop in Spiddal. And it was also just next door to the bar and West restaurant, an establishment with an excellent reputation and both Cliffs of Moher and Connamara.

The room was very clean and comfortable with a lot of extra features. As we were only staying one night we didn't use any of those things. The staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was excellent apart from the coffee, which was horrible. I left my necklace behind and the management/ reception contacted me later that evening and sent it on the next day. Thank you.
I don't like the decor. Everything is very dark and gloomy and there was a lot of noise in the courtyard into the early hours.

Brace yourself for this review!
What an enchanting getaway! The rooms are fine and pristine, with good design touches that catch the eye. The staff radiate warmth and attentiveness, especially enjoying the tasty pizza. A peaceful location that's a stone's throw from the city and nearby pier adds to its charm. Truly a nice stay!

The room was updated and new-fashioned with a coffeemaker and an iron.
Full size breakfast with breads & pastries from the hotel's own bakery; amiable staff. Particularly good location just off the Pins restaurant and lively breakfast, Connemara sightseeing and the wonderful, totally unmodified, unreconstructed, pub & trad music venue about which Tom French wrote a much-loved poem, could not be better.

The location was great and beautiful, short walk to the '' West '' restaurant for dinner and the nearby beach and Galway suburbs, in a beautiful area.
Shame the bathroom was dirty.

Loved the spacious dog-friendly room with nice little touches for our pet. Breakfast choices were extensive and tasty. The dark atmosphere throughout the hotel felt a bit uninviting at times. Great location for hiking nearby.

Arrived and first impressions of entering the hotel were that the doors looked like the emergency exit. However, once inside the receptionist was friendly. Didn't like the iced tea though. A coffee would have been nicer. Rooms very spacious and very comfortable. Love the mood lighting in the bathroom. Pillows were the most comfy I've ever had. Donnellys across the road served a lovely meal at great value.
The room was not properly hovered before we were given it. Clipped finger nails could be seen behind the dresser. The wardrobe should have a light of some sort as it is very dim on that side of the room. It is also difficult to see what is in the mini bar. The 'low batt' warning was on in the safe which didn't inspire confidence. The shower is overly complicated and the tap on the sink is too close to the edge. The sink itself is very impressive

Great restaurant - the West. Comfortable bed. Car parking facilities.
Breakfast not included in the price. This was not made clear until after I had filled in booking form. The lighting was not good when checking in - could not read the literature given to me by the receptionist, Also the lighting was poor in the bedroom.

The luxury suite offered excellent decor with bespoke furniture, giving a charming and inviting atmosphere. The in-house bakery produced good pastries for breakfast.
The restaurant experience fell short, with a lack of communication about the West Restaurant's set menu leading to unexpected choices. The seating options in the common areas were limited.

The staff and restaurant was superb and the music in the bar was great too.
My pet hate is poorly maintained tile grout in hotel bathrooms and around shower fitting - sorry but our bathroom could have benefited from more attention
